1This issue begins with three articles that discuss issues of memory, identity, and testimony in the context of phenomena of extreme social violence, and includes other texts that address various topics: representations of the feminine in the Western philosophical tradition, the manipulation of the religious and the secular in women’s rights discourses and practices, the relationship between literature and identity, the New Economic Sociology and the concept of (dis)embeddedness, and the use of information and communication technologies in participatory budgeting experiments.
